Introductory Workshop to Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) - Boise, ID

Mindfulness can help us get out of our own heads, be more present in our bodies, and not be so consumed by thoughts.

Is your level of reactivity higher than you would like? Mindfulness can help us learn to relate to small irritations and greater challenges in new ways and with less reactivity.

Some other potential benefits of mindfulness and meditation practice include:

  • Increased ability to deal with both short and long-term stress

  • decreases in both physical and physiological symptoms

  • a strong sense of relaxation

  • reduction in pain

  • increased ability to deal with chronic pain

Within this workshop, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Experience some mindfulness meditation techniques

  • Gain a clearer idea of what mindfulness is

  • Learn where to find 8-week MBSR workshops

These workshops are for you if:

  • you have no idea what Mindfulness is

  • you’re struggling with stress

  • you regularly feel anxious

  • you suffer from recurrent depression

  • you have been trying to learn mindfulness from a book or an app but could use a little more guidance

  • you have a health condition you are navigating

  • you have previously had some mindfulness and meditation training but could use a refresher

MBSR is not therapy or medical treatment nor is it meant to replace therapy or medical treatment. It is often used as a complementary aid to medical or psychological treatment.
